The fifth stage in Porto and Northern Portugal. Starting at Porto Cathedral, where there is still an image of Saint James and there used to be a chapel dedicated to him in the Old Cloister, this is the shortest stage of the route. Porto is filled with references to Saint James, including the Anglican Church of Saint James, the Chapel of Our Lady of Silva, the Rocamador and D. Lopo Hospital, the Monastery of the Augustinian Monks, and the Arch of Sant’Ana Niche, an ancient gateway for pilgrims. The stage ends at the Cross of the Lord of Padrão. A route covering only 6,522 meters, with low difficulty and an elevation gain of just 72 meters.
