This stage of the Trail, beginning at Rubiães, takes you to Ponte de Lima, through a varied landscape marked by mountains, valleys, woodlands and plains, bathed by rivers and streams spanned by bridges. It is a pleasant and calm journey with very easy segments, while others have a slight slope that entails walking slower.

During the first part of the stage Labruja Mountain is the point that offers some difficulty. Here, the route is sinuous and has some climbs that will require more energy. As you move south and approach your destination, you will spot the green fields of the banks of the River Lima. Among this diversity you will have good reason to walk slowly and make some stops along the way.

Along this route, which passes through the municipalities of Paredes de Coura and Ponte de Lima, nature will surprise you with scenes of great beauty. There are also traces of a multi-faceted cultural heritage, including, several crosses, chapels and pillories. We highlight the baroque manors, large 17th and 18th century stately homes, many of them operating as tourist accommodation.

In Ponte de Lima, the stage ends at Santo António da Torre Velha Church in Parque do Arnado.
