Starting from Seiça, this stage offers a mixed route that includes pedestrian walkways, local and municipal roads, and small sections of national road, The last day requires some physical effort and, above all, careful attention is needed when walking through dense urban areas (passing through the city of Ourém and arrival in Cova da Iria in the area of the Sanctuary), in order to ensure your safety.

This part of the trail is located in the mountainous, arid and beautiful terrain of Serra de Aire. Here limestone mountains and rocky hillsides are predominant, adjacent to small valleys, coves, geological formations and fossils that date back millions of years. Apart from mostly rural scenery, there are also urban centres that have developed in accordance with their administrative (Ourém) and religious functions (Fátima).

Intangible heritage expresses values associated with the relationship between cultures, peoples and religions. The legend of Oureana, in this area, speaks of the peaceful interaction between Christians and Muslims in the 11th and 12th centuries, where once the culture was Mozarabic. This legend tells us of the love story between Gonçalo Hermingues, knight templar and Christian poet, and Fátima, a beautiful Muslim girl and daughter of the Moorish emir, who upon marriage took the Christian name of Oureana.

The Northern Way ends at the Sanctuary of Fátima, next to the Chapel of the Apparitions.
