At this point, the Way meets up with the national road that passes through towns such as Redial, where there is a chapel dedicated to Saint James, to Chaves, where it meets kilometre 0 of the mythical National Road 2. Traces of the ancient Roman city of "Aqua flaviae", the Roman bridge of Trajan and the largest Roman baths on the Iberian Peninsula are all visible. In front of the Termas de Chaves building, in the Buvette there is always space to rest where the water, with medicinal properties, springs up at 70 °C.
