This stage of the Camino de Santiago Central continues the itinerary that crossed the Central Region and now continues in the North of Portugal. Crossing through the municipality of Oliveira de Azeméis towards São João da Madeira, the itinerary traverses some natural areas nestled within agricultural and forested regions, but primarily consists of asphalt and cobblestone urban roads and paths, reflecting the characteristics of a highly urbanized area. Worth mentioning is the passage by the Church of Santiago de Riba-Ul, dating back to 1712, as a Jacobean reference in this stage where one can admire a limestone sculpture of Saint James from the Coimbra workshop of the late 15th century. The itinerary covering 18,3 kilometers, of medium difficulty, with only 138 meters of elevation gain.
