The stage begins in Condeixa-a-Nova, near Roman Portugal Museum in Sicó and ends in the town of Rabaçal. It crosses the municipalities of Condeixa-a-Nova and Penela, against the environmental backdrop of Vale do Rabaçal and Canhão do Rio de Mouros, known for the limestone massif of Serra de Sicó mountain, with its remarkable characteristics. On the low hillsides and in the valleys we find mostly typical Mediterranean species, such as oaks, chestnut trees, holm-oaks and cork oaks. The towns are located near fertile and irrigated areas, dotted with small settlements that date back to ancient times, associated with the megalithic culture, not to mention the Romanization of the western part of the Iberian Peninsula.

The cultural heritage is rich in monuments and traditions, especially classical heritage from the Romanization period, dating back to the first centuries of our era. You may learn about its history, but also the art and technique of this exceptional heritage, namely through archaeological sites, museums and exhibitions that can be found all along the route. You will always find friendly communities and you will be able to savour the local cuisine with its conventual origins.
