Porto - Lourosa

The seventh stage of the Northern Way takes you to Lourosa, near the Chapel of S. Miguel, also known as Capela da Feira dos Dez. At the start, the scenery is mainly urban and as such we recommend you pay careful attention for a safe hike.

During this journey the trail crosses the River Douro, passing through the municipalities of Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia and Santa Maria da Feira.

There are many attractions that are worthy of your attention. Crossing the River Douro is unforgettable, not to mention the comforting sensation of crossing Serra de Negrelos mountain. The cultural heritage offers monuments and museums that reflect the value of history and the dynamics of contemporary life. We recommend that you plan your day so you can get to know them well. You can organise your journey into two parts, making Grijó the intermediate point.
